Description Position Details: Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Pittston, PA - midway between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton! Shift: This is a 12-hour opportunity on D shift - 5:50p-6a working a 2/2/3/2 schedule. Compensation: $30-$34/hr depending on qualifications and experience! + OT Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Match, and more!Travel: No travel is involved with this role. Position Description:As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of Company's machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.•Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on various production machines.•Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications for troubleshooting malfunctions.•Locate sources of problems by observing machinery in operation.•Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.•Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.•Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.•Complete shift turnover daily using a computer.•Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.•Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related company goals through the support of production.Requirements: Company is looking for an electromechanical maintenance technician with 3-5 years of experience - Military experience counts! •In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.•Understanding of Electrical control systems and ability to fault-find electrical issues•Experience with Extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, high-speed printing, and assembly machines is preferred but not required.•Excellent troubleshooting skills•Be a champion of Continuous Improvement Activities•Must have basic computer and report-writing skills, good communication skills, and good time-management skills•Responsible for Food Safety within the scope of work, including adherence to site Hygiene Code of Practice and SQF / FDA regulatory requirements, and reporting of food safety concerns/improvement suggestions
