OverviewThe Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and construction work relating to propane, refined fuel, and lubricant systems at company locations as directed. This technician will assist in attaining assigned goals for safety, installations, and training. Assuring safety standards aremet which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines is of the utmost importance for this position.MFA Oil Company is an Equal Opportunity/Drug-Free Employer.ResponsibilitiesProvide prompt and efficient maintenance and construction work relating to company owned equipment and systemsWork as part of a crew during construction or installation of any petroleum, propane, or associated equipment at company locationsConduct maintenance and construction work as scheduled by the maintenance administratorsClean and maintain equipment assigned to positionPerform work in a safe manner at all times according to company safety proceduresProvide home office with required information and records on a timely basisInspect all equipment to assure safe, dependable operationsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system and equipment issues as assignedMaintain inventory of parts and equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on equipment as directedPerform after-hours emergency service as necessaryMaintain inventory of non-fuel related parts and equipmentEnsure all site-specific documentation is accurately completedMaintain accurate and complete records of all fixed assets assigned to the plant, including loaned customer equipmentIdentify and timely communicate to the supervisor and other managers as appropriate, issues related to truck and equipment safety and efficiency, customer needs and inquiries, training needs and other necessary changes and/or issuesOperate vehicle safely, according to policies and guidelines set forth by law or by MFA Oil CompanyConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any truck safety issues immediately to supervisor, as well as maintaining truck in a neat and clean conditionDevelop and maintain current knowledge of all products and services offered by MFA Oil CompanyPresent a positive image of MFA Oil Company to the communitySupport and understand company policies and procedures and communicate those to customers as neededFollow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours workedAll MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assignedJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentTraining and/or experience in truck and equipment maintenanceMechanical skills (basic plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry)Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materialsAbility to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machineryValid driver's licenseAbility and willingness to become propane (CETP) certified as determined by the state(s) servedAbility and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within the first 90 days of employment, and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements per the vehicle requirementsAbility to pass in person training and MFA Oil Company Record of Road test requiring operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles within 90 days of employmentAbility to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditionsWillingness to become MFA Oil crane certifiedAbility and willingness to work with hazardous materialsAvailability to travel and stay overnight approximately 50% of the timeAbility to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters or stacks of inventory weighing up to 100 poundsAbility to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or sitting) for up to nine hours per shiftAbility to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet and load them into trucksAbility to ascend and descend ladders to deliver fuelVision, hearing, speech, and ability to detect odorsAvailability to work a rotating on-call schedule, holidays, weekends, and after regular business as neededReliable transportation to workAbility to exchange accurate information with MFA Oil Company customersAbility to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), criminal background check, and MFA Oil Company road testLegal authorization to work in the United States of AmericaPreferred SkillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentAbility to work under timelines and pressureStrong communication skillsAbility to work at a fast pace#J-18808-Ljbffr
