Job Description:
We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person's primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This person will also be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and monthly PM's, as well as conducting repairs on plant equipment.What you'll do:Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines and equipment.Perform maintenance on buildings and grounds.Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements.Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Assist the Production Department with die assembly, die cleanup, startups, and shutdowns.Perform tool changes on Belling Machines and Perforators when required.Monitor stock levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts and inform the supervisor of items needing to be ordered.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.What you'll bring:Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.Experience with material conveyance systems and/or PVC extrusion operations preferred but not required.Excellent mechanical aptitude.3-5 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical and electrical skill sets.Experience with installation and disassembly of machinery and equipment.Adaptability to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred.Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.All associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, and Accountability.Within 3 months, you'll:Complete any required training.Develop relationships with key stakeholders for this role.Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.Join our team and align yourself with an industry leader!#LI-MO1Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
