Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:- Responding to production requests for immediate attention to production line issues and problems- Maintaining production equipment- Maintaining records of preventative maintenance- Creating requisitions of parts and supplies to maintain equipment- Using knowledge to maintain electrical/electronic systems and general production line equipment- Identifying problem areas and addressing with permanent solutions- Following all safety and quality procedures and policiesRequirements For Maintenance Technician:- Associates degree or equivalent from technical school or college- Three years of maintenance experience/training- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes- Ability to make decisions based on standard practice- Advanced understanding of production machinery and equipment- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshooting, and problem solving- Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings- Familiarity with OSHA requirements- Basic computer skills- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reach and pull- Ability to lift/move 50 pounds- Ability to perform repetitive work in fast-paced environment- Ability to work in temperatures between 50-60 degrees - Three years of experience in food manufacturing environment- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems - SAP experience QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
