Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician you are responsible for the professional, courteous, timely, and satisfactory completion of all assigned duties given by the Maintenance Supervisor. In total, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing the tasks that enable the community to be maintained in a first-class condition. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. Tasks include, but are not limited to:QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be HVAC Certified
  • College or Technical school training preferred
  • Previous Property Management experience a plus
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with others in a team environment
  • Drug test and background check required
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required
RequirementsJOB DUTIES:
  • Prioritize and complete maintenance work orders precisely and timely
  • Electrical & Appliance repairs and services
  • Plumbing repairs and services
  • Maintain all common areas, amenities areas, parking areas, entry ways, to include sweeping, mopping, pressure washing, and emptying trash
  • Assist with apartment turns and timely work order completion
  • Work to achieve and maintain overall curb appeal standards for Company
  • Carry emergency cell phone if needed or be on call when needed
  • Responsible for exhibiting and promoting professionalism among maintenance staff
  • Exhibit courtesies at all times and treat all residents and company personnel with respect and professionalism
  • Ensure maintenance is performed in such a manner as to minimize residentdiscomfort and distress
  • Comply with company uniform and appearance policy
  • Attend all required meetings and training courses
  • Complete the above duties and all others deemed necessary by the Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor
This position is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.
