Job Description
Our client, an innovative manufacturing facility in Lebanon, NH are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Maintenance employee is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of machinery, mechanical equipment, and the facility's infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the manufacturing processes are uninterrupted, safe, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner
* Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to identify potential problems or hazards.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks
* Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
* Assist in the installation and set-up of new machinery and equipment
* Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies related to maintenance and manufacturing
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
* Ability to be standing for long periods of time; bending, kneeling, etc.
* Able to utilize PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required
* Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field is preferred
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
* Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
* Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
