Hourly Pay: $35 - $45 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support operations at a growing manufacturing facility close to Holland, MI. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily production by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a range of machinery and facility systems. The position focuses on working with advanced manufacturing equipment, while also handling facility infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and coordinate machine downtime for preventive care.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, including schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and test machines during repairs or new installations.
  • Maintain building systems, including HVAC, ventilation, and air handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery controls, motors, and mechanical components.
  • Source and evaluate parts and materials to ensure cost efficiency and quick delivery.
  • Manage shop systems like power, air, and water lines, ensuring proper operation and safety.
  • Repair and maintain small tools and auxiliary shop equipment.
  • Contribute to machine upgrades or rebuilds, as needed, to support production goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance (required).
  • Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting (required).
  • Electrical licensing or active pursuit of certification (preferred).
  • Certified Journeyman in Machine Repair (Preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
