POSITION SUMMARY: This position will ensure preventative and general maintenance, safety and compliance standards of BHA and stakeholders within the Community Living division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties and projects will be assigned, as necessary.)
* Follow all time keeping policies.
* Participate in on call to address emergency safety concerns after hours.
* Responsible for performing ongoing property maintenance and completing repairs to the properties, grounds, fixtures and equipment.
* Installs equipment, furniture and appliances.
* Performing routine maintenance around the properties such as repairing structural damage, for example window, door or wall repair.
* Address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.
* Address heating and cooling concerns.
* Address lighting issues and installing/replacing fixtures.
* Applying preventative measures to the properties to reduce risk of future problems.
* Completing safety and compliance checklists
* Delegated tasks from divisional leaders.
* Pick up trash if seen on the grounds and maintain grounds to standard.
* Painting and upkeep to the property aesthetics.
* Groundskeeping and lawn work in outdoor areas requiring maintenance.
* Prioritize, multitask and complete work orders in a timely manner within the maintenance platform.
* Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
* Must be able to use a smartphone, email, text, and complete electronic work orders.
* Inspecting properties to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with their supervisor.
* Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings.
* Interpersonal skills to interact with employees, residents and visitors of the properties in a pleasant manner.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
1. Current Professional Crisis Management (PCM) Certification - Practitioner 1
2. Current First Aid and CPR Certification
3. Completion of TOOLS and ABA 101
4. Completion of Abuse and Neglect, HIPAA Training, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Confidentiality
5. Completes other professional development and training courses, as assigned
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Maintains valid driver's license and low-risk driving record, in accordance with company guidelines. Reports any and all traffic infractions (on or off the job) to supervisor in a timely manner
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of two years' experience in a maintenance position.

Seldom (1-5%): Balancing, crawling, pinching.

Machines, Tools and Equipment:
Seldom (1 -3%): Calculator, copier, and scanner.
Occasionally (3-10%): Computer, phone and cleaning tools.
Frequently (11-93%): Residential maintenance materials, power tools, maintenance tools, automobiles.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is performed primarily indoors and outdoors of the community Living properties. Groundwork may be required on the exterior of the properties.
In the locations, clients have varying levels of social and behavioral skills, they may act out emotionally or physically (yelling, biting, scratching, hugging, kissing, hitting etc.). Employees must be able to successfully adapt to these behaviors and act appropriately in return, using PCM techniques as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to the risk of electric shock (power tools, exposed wires, etc.). The employee is also occasionally required to function in narrow aisles or passageways. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high in the midst of a client's crisis.
Travel for this position is expected between Community Living properties and stores to purchase materials and supplies.
ACCESS TO PHI: The Maintenance Technician may be exposed to Protected Health Information (PHI) as needed to work with in the Community Living properties.
