RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / MILLWRIGHT position on our regional heavy maintenance and setup crew for our Southwestern Middle Tennessee quarries. This individual will be responsible for performing fixed plant repairs, recommending plant improvements, diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment, and assisting with various production duties as needed.The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background of experience in welding, fabrication, and fixed plant repair work and a strong commitment to safety excellence. Experience or background in millwright type work - metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair - is preferred.This position will work across the following quarries and locations - Burns, Columbia, Hickman Co., Lawrenceburg, Lewisburg, Pottsville, Pulaski, and the TN River Sand & Gravel operation in Linden.JOB DETAILS

  • Day Shift
  • Location: Southwestern Middle TN quarries
  • Wages starting at $23.00/hr. Higher pay offered for experienced heavy industrial and multi-craft maintenance professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing fixed plant repairs
  • Recommending plant improvements
  • Diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment
  • Assisting with various production duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • At least 1 year of previous professional welding experience is required - with emphasis on mig and stick welding.
  • Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required.
  • Experience in steel erection/destruction - fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding - is preferred.
  • Mechanic experience in diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment is required.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed.
  • Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens is preferred but not required.
  • Previous mining/quarry/maintenance experience preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
  • Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments.
  • May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
  • Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
