Turner Staffing Group - Heavy Equipment Maintenance TechnicianWe are looking for a dynamic and talented professional to fill a Heavy Equipment Mechanic role at our fast-growing, forward thinking mining services company.Turner Mining Group is seeking an energetic professional who can leverage theirHeavy Equipment knowledge to expand upon our fast-growing business, creating best practices for systems and scalable business processes to ensure profitable operations. This person will function as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, willingness to do, learn, perform and improve any maintenance task. Tasks will be defined and evolve in all areas of mining operations to ensure preventative maintenance is practiced, repairs, equipment runs in the area of responsibility. You will report to and work with the Project Superintendent to develop heavy equipment procedures that will ensure safe operations. This is an opportunity to work as part of the operations team in a safe, productive, and fun environment.Job DescriptionAttractive 7 on 7 off schedule rotating on a day/night shift roster. Competitive salary with a structured seven level salary banding, ranging between $26-$49 per hour. The principal objective of this role is to service, diagnose and undertake repairs to a wide variety of open pit earthmoving equipment in accordance with clients procedures and policies.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on modern mining equipment, including 400 t Shovels, 200t haul trucks (electric and mechanical drive), drills, dozers, and other mining machinery (Komatsu & Caterpillar).Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as planned component changes, routine servicing, and component inspections, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.Source technical information from the relevant OEM manuals, systems, technical bulletins, and service documentation.Maintain accurate maintenance records, document work performed, and comply with safety and environmental regulations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics would be advantageous.Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in a heavy equipment mining environment.Current driver license.Demonstrate strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components of mining equipment.Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for diesel-powered machinery.Previous OEM trainingExcellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to safely work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced mining environment.Additional Information Full time position working in the stable gold mining industry.Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, 401K, and more.Monthly paid training available and professional development.Supportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamwork.Great residential location, close to Charlotte SC, and is located between the mountains and the sea. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
