We offer 24 locations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Garrett County and Harford Counties and Baltimore City.Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Senior Communities is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician (on-call) who, will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including skilled repair, drywall modification, installation, and upkeep of Senior Community facilities, equipment, and structures. Ensures all job duties align with the Agency's mission, vision, values, and commitments. The work schedule is Thursday, 8a-12p and emergency on-call.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responds promptly to resident and management work requests and takes necessary actions based on established priorities.* Conducts routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure proper functionality; troubleshoots issues and promptly notifies supervisor when necessary.* Inspects and performs scheduled preventative maintenance according to established procedures.* Ensures compliance with all OSHA and MOSH regulations regarding building safety and right-to-know laws; handles all chemicals in accordance with the Safety Data Sheets maintained on-site.* Keeps maintenance supervisor and manager informed of all unusual issues or developments.* Timely submits completed work tickets to management promptly.* Assists vendors as needed as directed by the maintenance supervisor.* Clears snow/ice from sidewalks and building access areas during inclement weather in a timely manner.* Assists with keeping the grounds clear and free of debris.* Completes and submits Incident Reports, as necessary.* Attends and participates in meetings and internal and external training sessions as requested.* In the absence of the Maintenance Porter keeps all public areas clean and orderly according to schedule and guidelines.* Perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* Minimum 1-year basic practical knowledge in Maintenance: Plumbing. Carpentry, HVAC- heating/cooling.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:* Demonstrates reliability through punctuality and consistent attendance in compliance with work schedule and policies.* Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with a courteous demeanor towards staff, clients, and visitors to cultivate and sustain positive working relationships among residents and staff members.* Possesses comprehensive knowledge of safety hazards and proficiently uses various cleaning and sanitizing solutions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.* Must have ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:* Provides on-call emergency response as required.* Conducts routine maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and operation of tools and equipment, to uphold cleanliness and orderliness of the property.* Consistently lifts 50 lbs. on a regular and consistent basis throughout the workday.* Utilizes full range of motion to bend, stoop, climb, and stand 90% of the time.* Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to drive safely and to observe and communicate with others.* Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one work site to another.* Small basic hand tools: tape measure, pliers, screw drivers.* Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence.
