Job Type Part-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for an individual who can work independently and possesses the ability to use common sense and problem-solving skills to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively. Someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in to help whenever necessary. Primary duties will include painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds/landscaping, cleaning, and guest room maintenance. Must be able to complete work order forms, take direction, be organized, and effectively communicate with internal departments and guests. Must enjoy working with people and have a friendly can-do attitude toward all projects.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
- Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant units to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon check-in.
- Assists the Building Engineer on special maintenance projects, i.e., preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanics.
- Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekend, and holiday emergency service.
- Ensure exterior upkeep and cleanliness of grounds.
- Operate power washer, shampoo machines and other machinery.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Ability to stand for extended period of time and lift 40 lbs.
- Perform other duties as instructed.
RequirementsPRE REQUISITIES:Must be eligible to work in the United States.Must be able to pass a background check.EXPERIENCE:Minimum two years of hotel or residential maintenance experience. Painting and plumbing experience a plus. Formal training can be considered in lieu of experience.PHYSICAL ABILITY:
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
- Continuous use of hands and arms
- Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting.
