Job Description:

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Precast Plant Startup to join our DOSWELL, VA plant. As a Maintenance Technician with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a newly established precast concrete manufacturing plant. From day one, you will play a critical role in the startup and growth of the facility, contributing to the overall success by helping oversee demolition work, performing tasks to prepare the site for production, setting up new equipment, and coordinating with various departments.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

* Assist with overseeing initial demolition/re-configuration work and prepare the plant for production activities.

* Set up and install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on all plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

* Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate the installation of new systems and equipment.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and standards.

* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems as needed.

* Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to minimize downtime.

* Assist with inventory management for maintenance supplies and spare parts.

* Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance plant performance.

About You

We Require:

* Technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years' experience in a manufacturing plant.

* Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.

* Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.

* Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.

* General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.

* Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.

* Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.

* Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.

* Must have a valid drivers' license.
