Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician - UtilityLocation: Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Springfield, MO

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor painting, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment upkeep.
  • Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain HVAC systems.
  • Notify management of major repair needs and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain the appearance and safety of hotel interiors and exteriors, including pools and common areas.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet operational needs and respond to guest service requests.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and room inspections.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to emergency procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and promote a culture of safety and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to meet OHM and brand standards.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and handling pressure.
  • Knowledgeable in hotel operations and able to interact with all levels of management and guests.
Education & Experience:
  • Certificate from a Vocational Institution in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical repair preferred.
  • Current Driver's License required.
Hours:
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, with potential emergency responses.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform heavy work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Physical Activities:
  • Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive motion.
Visual Acuity & Environmental Conditions:
  • Close visual acuity required for inspections and equipment operation.
  • Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hazards such as moving parts, electrical currents, and chemicals.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces and narrow aisles.
