We are looking for a highly driven individual that will help keep the company equipment, building and premises in good repair. Additionally, you will…* Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines* Troubleshoot and repair production machines in a timely manner always keeping safety in mind* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting* Hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair experience* Fabricate repair parts by using machine/welding shop instrumentation and equipment* Assist in installation of new & used machinery including necessary plumbing, electrical, air, water, gas, etc.* Maintain good quality workmanship, housekeeping and observe all safety rules and regulations for self and other* Perform other duties as necessaryWhat it takesRequired Qualifications* High School Diploma plus two years of applicable trade school training or two years experience as an Industrial Mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Must be skilled in metal fabrication, SMAW and GMAW welding processes* Must have a high degree of flexibility, and be willing to respond as needed to production schedules and equipment outages* Must have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting* Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities to perform the above duties* Must have good organizational and communications skillsHighly qualified candidates will also possess:* Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsBenefitsValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
