Job Title: Maintenance Technician, YMCA
Description: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing a clean and safe environment by performing interior and exterior maintenance operations in our YMCA facilities. They will carry out all maintenance related work, including preventive maintenance, property improvements, work orders and emergency maintenance needs. Position requires administrative duties such as purchase order requests, reconciliation of all expense orders, and ability to follow budgetary guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Responds to general maintenance requests and emergency orders
* Performs minor electrical repairs and plumbing duties including but not limited to faucet repair, shower valves, toilets, etc.
* Repairs drywall and paint
* Repairs, installs, troubleshoots pool equipment
* Maintains physical property and grounds in an attractive and clean manner at all times
* Regular inspection of facility and grounds to identify needs and ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times
* Works with external contractors on building issues
* Assists in getting bids on facility projects
* Suggests and initiates actions to improve facility appearance and cleanliness
* Follows all YMCA safety and personnel policies
* Performs others duties as requested and/or assigned
Requirements:
* HS diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years related experience (including ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, wall repair, replacing light fixtures and other hands on repairs).
* Current C.P.O. certification strongly preferred.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
* Basic computer knowledge required.
* Must possess valid driver's license and good driving record.
* Candidate must be very dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
* Ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude and be constantly concerned with safety as it relates to members and staff.
Pay & Perks: Full-time. Schedule may vary and may include occasional evening hours and weekends.$22-$24 per hour, based on experience.
