Overview:
Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
Responsible for general cleanup and organization of the manufacturing floor and assists with preventative maintenance activities on all the manufacturing equipment.
The schedule for this position is on 1st shift with possible overtime.
Starting pay rate = $19.07/hour
Responsibilities:
- Embraces and follows the Beliefs and Values of Stryten Energy.
- Embraces and follows the work and safety rules and wears all required personal protective equipment.
- Performs general cleanup duties of equipment and shop floor areas per a weekly routine. Duties that may be included on the weekly routine are listed below.
- Possible daily and/or weekly duties:
- Clean floors in shop, this to include picking up scrap, picking up garbage, sweeping floor, scrubbing floor, degreasing floor.
- Cleaning machinery and under machinery, cleaning around machinery and work areas. This to include but not limited to; picking up scrap and garbage, wiping down equipment, vacuuming equipment and around work areas.
- Taking out garbage from various locations in the shop.
- Taking out scrap cardboard from various locations in the shop.
- Using forklift or pallet jack to move skids, products, material, and gaylords around as needed.
- Wrap skids as needed when asked to put away product onto racking.
- Collect scrap lead from cleanup duties, weigh, record, and take lead to the Cold Form Area.
- Move auxiliary equipment and secondary equipment around as needed.
- Complete painting projects as assigned.
- Clean areas outside the plant as needed such as around silos, skid storage, compactor, and dumpster.
- Pickup all rags that are around the shop.
- Change out lead dross and waste drums and clean as needed.
- Evaporate waste water that has been used in the floor scrubber.
- Pickup and dispose of used gloves that are around the shop.
- Breakdown and band up empty gaylords.
- Change light bulbs.
- Remove oil from press pits.
- Transfer hydraulic oil to and from oil reclaim system.
- Operate and monitor oil reclaim system when needed.
- Complete simple preventative maintenance tasks on equipment such as cleanup, greasing, and general checks.
- When given maintenance work orders to cover tasks listed above, accurately complete and turn in work orders.
- Work as relief operator as required by Shift Supervisor.
- Work as a Machine Operator or Cold Form Operator as required by Shift Supervisor.
- Maintains housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization of the Maintenance Department as instructed by Supervisor.
- Reports unsafe conditions to the Supervisor for immediate action.
- The above list of responsibilities describes normal work but the Supervisor may assign this person to duties not listed when production requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to lift 90 pounds.
- Good attendance and performance work history.
- Motived self-starter that is able to productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.
- Must demonstrate basic computer skills needed to use CMMS system.
- Must complete a forklift driving training program.
- Must complete a scissors lift driving training program.
- Must have full range of body motion, able to stand, bend at waist, squat, bend at the knees, kneel, and reach frequently.
- Walking frequently between workstations and around manufacturing floor.
