Job Opportunity: Maintenance Worker at The Osborn
Tuesday-Friday 8a-430p & Every Other Saturday & Sunday 4p-12a.
Position Overview:The Osborn is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Property, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, and general construction. You will play a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our physical plant equipment while ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and operate physical plant equipment, maintaining accurate logs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and handle service requests efficiently.
- Assist in inspections and testing of Life Safety equipment.
- Respond to maintenance service requests and communicate progress effectively.
- Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Support co-workers with various duties as needed.
- Maximize building efficiency and comfort in heating and cooling operations.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong math skills for accurate measurements and problem-solving.
- Prior maintenance experience preferred.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow instructions.
- Customer service-oriented, with professionalism towards residents, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 10-100 lbs, and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, and move around the building for extended periods
