Job Description:

Salary = $16.00 - $19.00 depending on Experience and Qualifications. New Hires are eligible for a $1500.00 Sign on Bonus Position Summary: Provides technical expertise and manual skill in the inspection, servicing, and repair of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and furnishings. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic routine building repair and maintenance, including but not limited to: drywall, painting, plumbing, and light carpentry.
  • Documents project status and completions.
  • Responds to emergency situations for evening and weekend call-outs.
  • Provides reasonable care and maintenance and assumes accountability for assigned, issued and/or checked-out tools, equipment and/or vehicles.
  • Performs all activities in accordance with the latest job safety practices.
  • Maintain work areas, equipment and tools in proper order and with care.
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • High school or GED required. Graduation from an accredited technical/vocational program or school preferred.
  • Three (3) years' experience in maintenance and/or construction.
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices used in plumbing, carpentry and electrical trades.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, processes and material involved in trades related to building maintenance.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot maintenance issues.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC/electrical systems, boilers, and power generators.
  • Strong judgment and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors and tenants.
  • Ability to work extended hours and be on-call, as needed.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a safe manner.
  • Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
