Examples of Duties Installation and maintenance of seasonal flowerbedsGeneral landscaping maintenancePerforming manual labor and related dutiesInstalls sod, trees and various other plantsApplies pesticides and herbicidesOperates chipper and a variety of commercial mowers and small engine hand toolsWorks in inclement weatherTeamwork is an essential function of the job and at times it may be required that the candidate work outside the Grounds Division. Minimum Qualifications A working knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees is preferredExperience with tractor/large equipment is desirableMust be able to read and write, as well as understand and follow verbal instructionsMust have a valid state driver's license Supplemental Information This position is subject to a criminal background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
