Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing seasonal snow removal, and a variety of specialized maintenance functions primarily related to water distribution, Stormwater and Collection operation, construction, repair, maintenance and replacement of the Town's water, sewer and storm water lines, facilities and infrastructure. Employees in this classification perform semi-skilled level work.
  • Will provide a variety of operator maintenance functions to include: cleaning well houses, pump stations, and treatment facilities, removing sand and debris from water intake structures, assisting with water quality sampling, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageEducation: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Related experience preferred Licenses and/or Certifications: a Valid Colorado Driver's License Physical Demands:
  • Moderate to heavy physical work to include lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50lbs
  • Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting
  • Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles
  • Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
  • Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens
Work Environment:
  • Works outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals
Equipment Used:
  • This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment
