Job DescriptionStarting Rate: $21.19Dauphin County Facility Maintenance is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Maintenance Worker III/HVAC. The employee in this role is responsible for but not limited to performing the following essential functions:
Responsible for inspection, operation, preventative maintenance, calibration, adjustment and repair of all heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation equipment/systems and associated controls and components. Provides maintenance and minor repair duties as required on various buildings, furniture, vehicles and equipment. Responsible for inspection and test of HVAC systems installation of new, repaired or cleaned components, and performing repairs and modifications to HVAC systems to keep them operating safely, efficiently and for maximum life expectancy, according to directives, established schedules, and accepted trade practices. Performs safety inspections to identify fire and mechanical hazards, interprets inspection findings, and determines corrective actions. Maintains and repairs department equipment. Operates hand and power tools as needed to perform minor repairs. Performs carpentry duties as assigned. Assists mechanical contractors. Works on HVAC equipment. Responds to emergency situations during and after normal work hours on weekends and holidays as required. Performs all other duties as assigned. The employee in this role is responsible for but not limited to performing these additional functions to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation System (BAS), currently Automated Logic:
Assists with setting up and cleaning for special events. Performs errands as needed. Changes light bulbs as needed. Cuts grass with mower or riding tractor. Landscapes grounds. Shovels/Plows snow from walks and driveways; sweeps sidewalks as needed. Paints buildings, fixtures, and other objects as required. Performs carpentry duties as assigned. Landscapes grounds. Performs all other duties as assigned. Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program plus some technical training in electricity, plumbing.
- Valid PA CDL License if assigned to operate heavy equipment. Must possess an HVAC License.
