DescriptionMaintenance WorkerThe Maintenance Worker position will be responsible for general repairs such as replacing light bulbs, performing simple repairs, plumbing, spot painting, patching walls, maintaining exterior and grounds of office complex, cabins and daycares. This will involve travel on some days.MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 years of experience in the field.
- Knowledge of safety practices as they relate to facilities work.
- Good written and oral communications skills and basic math skills.
- Ability to maintain schedule while performing duties.
- Physical capability, strength, and coordination adequate to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical, plumbing, and equipment failures and to perform general repairs.
- Must possess valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete minor repair jobs & upgrade projects in the assigned buildings & daycares.
- Attending emergencies when necessary.
- Will travel to daycares in the area for occasional deliveries, maintenance and repairs weekly.
- Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interior and exterior (i.e. pressure wash building, etc.). Perform routine inspections and regular upkeep of interior and exterior areas at daycares to ensure areas are free of safety hazards, trash, weeds, and other foreign materials.
- Perform upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, playgrounds, and parking lots, to include weeding, trash and litter removal required to keep areas clean, neat, and safe.
- Assist with moving office and classroom furniture, fixtures, and equipment to support increasing staffing changes, relocations, remodels, and program expansion.
- Miscellaneous minor maintenance: (i.e. changing filters, unclog toilets, daylight bulbs etc.)
- Support all policies, organizational and governmental such as OSHA rules, DHA health and safety regulations and guidelines, etc.
- Pick up supplies as needed.
- Other duties as requested.
