Incumbent will also assist in maintenance, repair and construction of streets, parks, water, wastewater and storm drainage. Routinely operating small tools, light motorized equipment associated with these operations during the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm., Monday through Friday, working in all weather conditions or working overtime as needed in all hours of the day or night. Exercises sound, independent judgment within general policy guidelines.Operation of light equipment Must be able to operate a city vehicle safely, as well as operate and maintain a variety of small construction equipment, including but not limited to: backhoe, loader, and dump truckComplete work orders using correct English (i.e., grammar, punctuation, spelling and clarity) ABILITIES:Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
