OverviewThe Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the whole facility to ensure that all is in compliance with respective codes.Responsibilities* Ongoing daily repairs as well as maintenance schedule of all equipment.* Operate heavy equipment* Respond quickly in theevent of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.* Implement preventative maintenance measures.* Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.* Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.* Adherence to health/safety, food safety and alcohol consumption regulations.* Ensure properties and structures are prepared for adverse weather conditions.* Read and interpret restoration proposals from inspectors and contractors.* Ensure that facility deficiencies are handled timely in order to avoid business interruption.* Perform other tasks as required in accordance to the business need.* This job description reflects the position's essential functions; it does not encompass all of the tasks that may be assigned.Qualifications* High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of one (1) year experience with commercial/industrial plumbing or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience* Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, and diagrams and drawings* Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required* Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision* Must be able to work in high and low/precarious places, be near fiberglass insulation and under sinks and cabinets* Thorough understanding and ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and components, as well as kitchen equipment as necessary on multiple buildings and structures* Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.SKILLS* Must possess strong communication and listening skills.* Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.* Adherence to company standards for safety, service and efficiency.* Must be able to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDS* Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
