Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Worker Lead is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). The Maintenance Worker Lead may be responsible for oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the maintenance operation.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the work of others, without direct performance management responsibilitiesSchedules and assigns daily work assignments to a team and oversees the completion of tasksInspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance where necessary to keep facility in functioning and serviceable conditionCompletes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance proceduresRepairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.Report on any major maintenance needs and recommends corrective action as appropriateMentors employees on minor tasks to correct mistakesQualificationsDemonstrated expertise in maintenance preferredMust be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risksExercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problemsMay act as an informal resource for those with less experienceOperates with limited supervisionDemonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalMust be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekendsThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
