Essential Duties Responsibilities The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.   • Respond to water and sanitary sewer emergencies and repair requests.
  • Perform maintenance of sewer system utilizing jet vac and camera system.
  • Maintain water booster station, sanitary lift stations, and storm stations.
  • Perform fire hydrant maintenance, including hydrant flushing.
  • Operate and maintain water valves.
  • Restore turf disturbed by utility work.
  • Repair and/or replace water meters and radios in commercial and residential properties.
  • Respond to emergencies outside of work hours when on call.
  • Perform snow removal and ice control.

Required Skills/Experience/Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months of related experience.
  • Valid Class D Minnesota Driver's license, and obtain Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
  • Obtain Class D Water Supply System Operator Certificate, and Class SD Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator's License within 15 months of hire.
Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of the job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
