About the Maintenance Worker position Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of MHY buildings, utilities, equipment and maintenance systems in compliance with MHY policies and procedures, and safe workplace practices. Will assist the Maintenance Supervisor as needed with his/her responsibilities, including on-call coverage. QualificationsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. - Assists with maintenance and repair of all buildings including dry-wall, electrical, plumbing and alarm systems within each of the buildings. If necessary, assists with coordinating with external professionals to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintains campus grounds, sidewalks and driveways, including grass cutting, landscaping, snow removal and light repair.
- Assists with provision of basic maintenance on MHY vehicles and assists in coordinating repairs with mechanics or body shops as necessary.
- Assists in a timely manner with the set-up and break-down of tables and chairs for staff, board or community events.
- Completes assigned janitorial services.
- Assists with other related tasks as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year of previous maintenance experience required. Specialized post-secondary education and/or licensing preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, plumbing and/or vehicle maintenance required. Must be 21 years of age with current Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances, and current PA state driver's license with an insurable driving record required. Additional training or licensing as required by regulations, or as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Director. EOE.
