Salary: $19.36 Hourly Location : Warwick Park - Pottstown, PA Job Type: Part Time Job Number: 03105 Department: Facilities Division: Facilities Park Maintenance Opening Date: 08/14/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Weekly Hours: Varies Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm Summary The Maintenance Worker will perform various routine repairs, maintenance and installation of operational equipment necessary to keep county-owned property and equipment in a functional and orderly manner. This position will maintain and repair physical structures of buildings and maintain grounds by performing the essential duties, tasks and accountabilities. Chester County Park Maintenance is looking for a part time worker for potential seasonal work with varying shifts. This position may require full-time work during some weeks but will not exceed 1000 hours per year. Essential Duties
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (i.e., maintain and repair building's plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses).
- Respond to emergency breakdown of equipment.
- Install new equipment.
- Paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & ExperienceQualifications / Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Six months to one year of job-related experience and/or training.
- Strong mechanical ability.
- Ability to operate light and heavy tools and machinery.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to carry tasks to completion.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- A valid driver's license is required.
