Kelly Government Solutions is seeking an experienced individual to work as a Malaria Lab Operations Manager at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
TASKS/SERVICES
(1) Assist with organizing and evaluating the scientific program for the Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology (LMIV) and provide recommendations for prioritizing program activities and projects to align with mission, resources, and budgets.
(2) Interact with NIH Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property (TTIPO) office to draft and execute legal agreements for sharing laboratory reagents, scientific data, and scientific publications with collaborating laboratories around the world to advance the sciences.
(3) Contribute to budgets for various activities within the laboratories using established tools to set and track budgets for all units and sections of the Laboratory and budgets at international field sites.
(4) Provide various reports on budgets, logistics, agreements, personnel and the overall scientific program with a goal to improve the organization of the labs as well as assist with submission of grant applications with external partners
(5) Provide assistance with administrative, clinical, and scientific needs through writing, reviewing, editing, or submission of documents to meet established timelines.
(6) Assist with preparing scientific presentations and reports by preparing slides, summaries, organizing data, and designing graphs and tables.
(7) Assist with logistical planning and scheduling of scientific meetings, lectures, workshops, and travel suggestions.
(8) Attend meetings and provide a summary report to highlight and track action items that were discussed in meeting
(9) Assist with the management of scientific program and operations at international clinical field sites and collaborate to improve databases and tools in the management of clinical data.
(10) Support issues that involve legal, ethical, operational, administrative, and programmatic oversight for the Lab; provide recommendations for areas of concern and assist in developing solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
(1) Minimum of bachelor's degree in a science related field
(2) Minimum of 3 years of program management and/or analysis experience, which includes all aspects of managing a program for a large laboratory
(3) Background in biology, chemistry, and/or biophysics with relevant understanding of malaria vaccinology, malaria clinical trials, and laboratory organization.
(4) Computer skills including databases, software, and tools used to manage clinical trial data and sample inventory
