SUMMARYAs a Mammography Tech, your demonstrated customer service and communication skills greatly assist you in obtaining images of good diagnostic quality, while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.STATUS: Full-TimeLOCATION: Batavia Medical CampusDEPARTMENT: RadiologySCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, hours will vary from 7a-9pATTRIBUTESRESPONSIBILITIES

• Mammography. Perform and/or assists diagnostic, screening, ultrasound and interventional mammography procedures; perform daily and periodic Mammography Quality Assurance (QA) activities under the direct supervision of the mammography QA Technologist; monitor image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all quality standards are met
• General Maintenance. Monitor equipment for proper performance and functionality; clean, restock and prepare examination rooms on a daily basis
• Documentation. Complete all necessary documentation in the radiological information system (RIS) and/or patient charts

EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
