We are currently looking for a Full Time Landscaping Specialist to join our Community Services Landscaping Team B Unit 3 team located at the Landscaping Purcell working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Summary:Performs a variety of lawn care and landscaping needs. Responsible for the maintenance, preservation and general care of the Chickasaw Nation softball complex facility and fields. Establish procedures to maintain and enhance the overall condition of the softball fields, including lining, marking, grass maintenance, watering and fertilization. Loads and unloads dirt, gravel, trash and other debris including collection and disposal of waste at the softball complex. Performs all other lawn care and landscaping needs as assigned.Responsibilities:* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Operates mowers, string trimmers, aerators, sprinklers, chain saws and other landscaping power and hand tools* Removes debris, cleans flowerbeds and prunes bushes as needed at assigned facility* Loads and unloads dirt, gravel, trash and other debris including collection and disposal of waste at assigned facility* Operates, loads and tows dump trucks, trucks, tractors, or other light construction equipment as needed* Keeps equipment operational, systems and building ready for use- Keeps preventative maintenance schedules- Keeps maintenance records, following policy and procedures- Completes repairs and installs replacement parts- Reports needed changes* Mows the lawn and cleans surrounding landscapes* Repairs basic machinery utilizing a basic understanding of machine design and repair* Sweeps walkways, removes litter, empties exterior trashcans and maintains paved areas* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Methods and materials used in groundskeeping and landscaping* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementSkills:Experience:Essential:* 1 year directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background check* Standard Driver's LicenseWorking Conditions:Essential:* Outside, all weather conditions* Hand tools* Power tools* May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions* May be required to assist individuals who are hostile, agitated or under the influence* Interacts with patients in difficult and/or emergency situations* Eye wear* Gloves* Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp* Operate hand tools* Manual dexterity* Operate power tools* Able to drive assigned vehicle types* Frequently lift and or carry up to 50 lbs* Significantly strenuous work* Sitting up to 75% of shift* Standing up to 75% of shift* Walking up to 75% of shift* May work evening shift* May work holidays* May be on-call* May work rotating shifts* May work weekend shiftNonessential:* Pass pre-employment drug test
