Prepares room and materials required for the requested procedure.* Cleans and disinfects room/equipment after each patient use.* Follows prescribed procedures in administering general and specific xrays adjust equipment, exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position and adjust lead shielding.* Observes patient and equipment during exam and report any unusual occurrences.* Develops film in accordance to standard procedures.* Maintains stock supplies and assists administrators in determining quantities required.* Checks images for quality: analog and digital.* Works as a general radiographer as needed.* Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:* NYS license* ARRT registeredPreferred Qualifications:* 2+ years of experience in general radiology and mammography.* Knowledgeable in the use of PACS system.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $85,636.15 - $105,785.35 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
