Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm

Salary: $66k - 83k/year

Must Haves:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program of Radiology Technology
  • License by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) for Radiography (R) and for Mammography (M)
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

  • Previous employment as a Mammography Technologist

Job Description:

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team full-time at their Seton Medical Center Harker Heights location. This person will be responsible for:

  • Explaining Mammography procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.
  • Performing Mammography procedures ascertaining appropriate imaging parameters (MAS, KVP, positioning, etc.) are utilized, providing physician with a quality diagnostic procedure.
  • Entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) in a proficient manner.
  • Transporting patients to and from Imaging Services ascertaining that the patient is relocated without injury or incident.
  • Ordering supplies for the division, ensuring that patient care is not interrupted.
  • Preparing and maintaining department paperwork, verifying accuracy of information.
  • Scheduling patient examinations according to departmental procedures.
  • Maintaining Mammography procedure rooms and work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintaining effective communication with medical staff, administrative staff, nursing staff and other team members.
  • Ascertaining the delivery of patient care is provided in a personalized, professional and quality manner and that the delivery of patient care is compliant with the accrediting and regulatory agencies.
  • Performing quality control on equipment ascertaining compliance with regulations. Notify management immediately of any potential malfunction or hazard of equipment.
  • Maintaining all documentation supporting the quality control program and regulatory compliance.

PLEASE NOTE: This position includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. Relocation Package offered!
