We are searching for a talented Mammography Technologist

*6,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. Must be registered in Mammography at time of hire. Rehires termed greater than 1 year also eligible*

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs

Shift: Day Shift, 9:00am - 5:30pm & 8:00am - 4:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Greater New Bedford Community Health Center - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within mammography and radiography as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, and attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility and post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography RT(M).
  • Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of Mammography is required for RTs within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA or RI.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Pay Range: USD $38.00 - USD $53.85 /Hr.
