This position gives you the opportunity to provide administrative, technical, and clerical support to the Section 8 and Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Management Aide, you will be responsible for reviewing applications to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information is obtained regarding household income and family status. Work includes advising applicants of program requirements; preparing and mailing income verification forms; verifying income, assets, anticipated medical and childcare expenses, as well as family composition; and checking documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. You will have the opportunity to consult with the Section 8 Coordinator to anticipate terminations and determine appropriate action to be taken to maintain an adequate supply of pre-qualified applicants, to ensure maximum occupancy and leasing levels. Additional responsibilities include:
* Mailing packets notifying applicants of available vouchers
* Assembling briefing packets
* Scheduling and conducting annual re-certifications
* Attending in-person briefings
* Mailing out appointment letters and landlord tax certification letters
* Performing administrative functions to ensure efficiency of daily operations
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One (1) year of experience in performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family housing developments, or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies; or
* One (1) year of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment; or
* Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
