Job Description:
Compensation$70,763.42 - $127,911.06(Based on Experience)SummaryResponsible for assisting the Planning Services Area to develop and execute projects and business case evaluations through metering, modeling, data collection and data analysis. Supports operations through the meaningful use of data. Assists in the development of capital forecasting, asset probability indices and asset impact indices through collaboration with asset management. Assists with the execution of long-term planning initiatives such as master planning, facilities planning, evaluation of system improvements and optimization opportunities.Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal/external clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures consistent with best practices, federal, state, and local laws
  • Achieve operational efficiencies by forecasting requirements, contributing information, and presenting recommendations
  • Identify and implement process improvements, team member training needs, provide on-the-job training, and new technology
  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions needed to ensure timely completion of assigned projects
  • Manages wholesale water meter replacement and meter pit rehabilitation program
  • Develop metering plans for GLWA's non-master metered members
  • Prepare and generate documentation to support audit requirements
  • Support the Director and/or Manager with administrative duties, team coordination, and communications
  • Provide analyses, performance indicators, and reports for the management team, board, committees, and all other stakeholders
  • Stay current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional/community organizations
  • Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
  • Prepare and present status reports to management as needed
  • Respond to all requests for project information
  • Coordinate meetings and tasks with other units across the organization
  • Perform related work duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related operational area
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting
Other Requirements
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License
