**Duties**

** Summary**

As a Management Support Specialist at the GS-0301-7, you will be part of Philadelphia District Office, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If selected, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the District Resources Manager (DRM) in delivering the full range of administrative programs for the office including, but not limited to, financial management, property management, records management, human capital management, procurement, and information management services.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assists in gathering historical data, budget requests, and management inputs for the preparation of the District's annual Operating Plan and Budget Request.

+ Develops and maintains the District's Accountable/Sensitive Property Inventory. Participates in the semi-annual property certification and identifies and corrects discrepancies as required.

+ Serves as the District's POC regarding maintenance of administrative files. Provides status and updates to the DRM to ensure that proper records management procedures are followed and records are retired/disposed of appropriately.

+ Serves as the District's POC for all actions regarding the Federal Personnel and Payroll system (FPPS). This will include processing personnel actions such as transfers, promotions, change in hours, etc.

+ May be asked to prepare reports and conduct research into time card issues and/or problems. Monitors time card amendments to ensure cards have been released by OHR.

+ Provides information on administrative issues that require immediate attention and develops recommendations and/or solutions for consideration and implementation.

+ Prepares analyses and recommendations to senior management officials, through the DRM, on problems or issues concerning resources, space management, equipment or other administrative areas. **Travel Required**

**For the GS-7:** You must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service, such as:

+ Performing a wide variety of administrative support services and analytical work for an assigned functional or organizational area. Examples of such work include procuring office equipment and supplies; maintaining financial records; developing segments of reports for management; etc. **OR** One full year of graduate level education in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

**OR Superior Academic Achievement:** To qualify based on superior academic achievement, you must have completed the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution **AND** must meet certain GPA requirements or membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-5 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-7 level.
