DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical support to the environmental engineering team involved in the Safe Drinking Water (SDW) program. You will act as the primary initial reviewer for the SDW program personnel, overseeing the technical review and processing of applications related to Non-Community Public Water Systems. Your duties will include verifying the technical precision of permit details associated with renewals, modifications, and allocations. Additionally, you will perform comparative analyses on applications to assess the feasibility and relevance of the proposed drinking water treatment methods.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment

* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes Barre.

* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information, or

* Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.

Other Requirements:

* This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
