JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including managing staff and processes, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments. Meet all financial deadlines and provide excellent customer service to internal/external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders and employee expense reports.
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and systems including Oracle Cloud AP and Concur. Assume role as subject matter expert and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Administer the corporate credit card program and ensure compliance with all accounting and T&E policies.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and performance metrics (KPI's).
- Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable (including 1099 reporting) and any other general ledger related tasks.
- Assist with various audits (internal, regulatory, sales & use, etc.) and provide documentation and support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with Oracle Cloud software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in managing a team of accounts payable professionals.
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations
The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000USD to $110,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
