Base Salary - USD $124,239 to $199,992 (Based at work experience & Interview)
POSITION SUMMARY
The position involves leading Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development by producing pricing, forecasting, and reserving deliverables. The candidate will coach direct reports and set priorities while collaborating with multiple departments to meet organizational goals. Acting as a technical resource and mentor to Actuarial Analysts, the role requires staying current with healthcare and actuarial trends, government regulations, and analytic methodologies. The individual will manage commercial pricing strategies and maintain relationships with leaders across the organization, including Product, Finance, and Regulatory teams. Candidates should have 7+ years of healthcare actuarial analytics experience, proficiency in SQL, and ASA or FSA designations, alongside a Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree.
QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS (required)
- Medicare Advantage Pricing and Bid Development Experience
- 7+ to 10 years' experience
- 7+ Years of healthcare actuarial analytics
- Experience certifying commercial rate filing
- Experience writing queries in SQL or another programming language
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation and/or
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
- Bachelor's Degree

- Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science or another related field of study
- 7+ years of healthcare actuarial analytics experience working with Commercial Pricing or Valuation
- Experience certifying the Commercial Rate Filing
- Experience with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid revenue methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with managing professional staff who work independently on tasks and projects
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for producing pricing, forecasting and reserving deliverables
- Coach and set priorities for direct reports

- Function as a technical resource and as a mentor to Actuarial Analysts in the Actuarial department
- Maintain an understanding of the changing health care and actuarial trends and how they impact the work of pricing and valuation
- Remain current on government regulation and guidance as well as analytic techniques and methodologies, data sources
- Manage Commercial pricing, forecast and reserving
- Build and maintain relationships with other leaders across the organization including Product, Finance, Underwriting, Regulatory, Pharmacy, and outside the organization (CMS, provider groups)
