Come build a better future with us across automotive, communications, the environment and more.The Manager of Ad Sales directly oversees the Cox First Media advertising business to maximize revenue with a focus on digital and fully execute all campaigns. Responsible for leading the strategy, reporting, and analysis to drive revenue growth, this position will manage a team of media consultants that will provide tactics and solutions, end to end execution and reporting on all campaigns. The ideal candidate exhibits a strong digital acumen and passion for staying on top of the latest opportunities in the space, exploring new ways to leverage digital platforms to connect with key audiences, and drives performance across channels and campaigns.This position is a part of the sales leadership team collaborating to develop and execute digital sales strategies, working to maximize revenue generation, overseeing digital specific sales training, and ensuring the team is providing Media Consultant's with solutions to meet client needs. What You'll Do:
  • Serve as a thought leader in the digital media space for Cox First Media brands and products.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue targets in digital and new product revenue.
  • Provide direction to Media Consultants for cohesive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Project manage complex work streams, initiatives, and budgets across marketing channels.
  • Educate and advocate internally and externally on the benefits of digital marketing for clients.
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to facilitate digital media sales training and motivational efforts.
  • Train and develop direct reports and new/existing employees in sales, operations, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and the local digital support team.
  • Manage regular dashboards/analytics and vendor relations.
  • Hire and develop talent, fostering a reliable and trustworthy team reputation.
  • Coordinate backend fulfillment with vendors for products and communicate back to the sales team.
  • Manage projects related to new workflow tools, CMS, billing order entry, and vendor engagement.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience in a related field; or 10 years of experience in a related field
  • 1 or more years of experience in a management or leadership role
  • 2-5 years of experience successfully leading in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge in digital technologies such as Google Analytics, ad tagging, SEM/SEO, social media, behavioral and contextual targeting, content management, etc.
  • Must have the ability to partner with cross-functional teams within the organization to establish alignment, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills as well as a solutions-oriented mindset to identify issues and solve them within a finite period, often under constraints of strict deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with direct reports as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach/train team to solve problems, organize priorities or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and methodical execution of ad campaigns, including both creative and billing.
  • Proven experience in making decisions under pressure and/or at deadlines.
  • Experience in hiring and developing talent.
  • Experience with cross-departmental leadership and collaboration; commitment to developing solutions aligned with company goals and initiatives a must

The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $43,500.00.Benefits:The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
