Job Description:
Assists in managing a branch real estate sales office. Recruits, develops, directs, trains and maintains an effective sales and support staff capable of meeting objective for profitability and growth. Works closely with Sales Manager to contribute to the development and validation of plans, policies and objectives; reviews and comments on policies and programs. May serve as a representative and spokesperson for the real estate office.Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
  • Recruit, select, train, motivate and retain associates and support staff for the successful performance of the branch office(s) and contribute to fulfilling the company-wide objectives. Review and evaluates subordinate job performance. Provides leadership in all support and sales associate areas to assure accomplishment of position objectives. (60%)
  • Assists with developing and implementing programs and long range objectives designed to enhance the business strategy and enable it to achieve its goals relative to profitability, cost control, and organization effectiveness with regard to new construction, market share, listing inventory, existing home sales, and other issues as appropriate. (25%)
  • Actively promotes affiliated Company businesses and works to increase the capture rate of the affiliates. (5%)
  • Actively participates in community activities, local and state Board of Realtors, so the Company will be viewed in the best possible light by clients, sales associates, competitors, and the public with the branch office location. (5%)
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0-5%)

  • Assist the Sales Manager in reaching or exceeding office profitability goals.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the organization and Company.
  • Displays solid organization skills, detail oriented with strong problem resolution ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Resourceful, action oriented, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Shows an understanding and appreciation for real estate and related business functions.
  • Attends work regularly and supports the Company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
QualificationsEducation:
  • Four-year business or economics degree with advanced professional management training or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Three plus years of real estate experience with demonstrated managerial and supervisory experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Extensive experience in handling real estate transactions; knowledge of legal obligations of Realtors under state and federal laws, Department of Commerce Rule and Regulations, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written/oral); sound human-relational skills involved in recruiting, training and managing performance of people; conflict/change management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of quality and detail orientation; problem solving skills.
  • High degree of integrity; knowledgeable of the technical skills related to real estate; must possess financial skill to manage the operational budget.
  • Ability to work independently and under extreme deadline pressure; resourceful and action-oriented.
  • Ability to define and shape strategy, yet possess a strong tactical orientation in order to obtain results.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.):
  • Must be a licensed Realtor and broker with continuing education credits in real estate and management.
