Position Summary

Arrow International is growing! Are you a benefits guru with strong communication skills ready to take on new challenges? Are you well-versed in compliance pieces, but also the 'go to' person for all employee questions? If so, we have a great opportunity for someone with a career focus. This role reports to the Director, Total Rewards and is fully on-site at the global headquarters in Brooklyn, Ohio.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

* Responsible for the management and administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plan.

* Supports a variety of key initiatives at all levels within the company and will help to optimize engagement, understanding, and utilization of benefit programs

* Oversees the annual open enrollment process.

* Provides coaching and responds to escalated benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries

* Builds and maintains positive partnerships with external vendors

* Develop and oversee clear, informative benefits communications ensuring employees fully understand and engage with the benefits and programs offered.

* Oversees the processing and administration of leave-of-absence requests to include medical, personal, disability and FMLA.

* Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences or disabilities.

* Ensures prompt and accurate compliance for all benefits programs.

* Serves as the liaison with vendors and brokers to resolve employee claims.

* Evaluate current benefits offerings, identifying competitive advantages and areas for improvement. Will be instrumental in enhancing our benefits' cost-efficiency and overall effectiveness.

Requirements

Experience and Education

* Minimum 5 years of benefit administration experience

* Bachelor's Degree in related field

* Knowledgeable of policies, laws, and regulations related to employee benefits administration, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, Medicare, wellness plans, etc.

* Proficiency with HRIS, Paylocity a plus, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

* Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State, and Local policies, laws, and regulations.

* Must be customer service oriented with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, etc.

* Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with tact, courtesy, and diplomacy, both verbally and in writing, even in difficult situations. Must possess excellent writing, note-taking, and proofreading skills; ability to write clearly and concisely with proper regard to spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

* Must possess strong attention to detail and initiative, with the ability to determine appropriate workflow and to complete all tasks within deadlines.

* Must be a self-starter and be able to lead others in projects.

* Ability to present benefit plans in understandable, concise, varied formats.

* Ability to analyze problems, complex data, and information and identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
