Job Description:The
Manager, Benefits is a role within the Company's centralized benefits team. This position will report to the VP of HR, Benefits and Compensation. This position supports OneOncology and its partner practices in full administration of a comprehensive health and retirement program, including partnership with HR on leave of absence as necessary. This is a highly visible role that requires strong analytical skills, project management and vendor management, as well as have the ability to advise practice leaders and executives on their benefit program to support employee education and culture at the practice level.This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage members of the benefit team and foster a collaborative program culture and business objectives.
- Partner with Benefit Navigation or benefits team leader, accounting, and practice leadership regarding financial performance, stop loss and claims management
- Review total benefit cost projection completed by broker actuary in conjunction with the HR and Finance teams, modeling alternatives as necessary
- Partner with practice leadership to establish or adjust strategic annual cost share strategy as needed and provide ongoing education and communication regarding the benefit program
- Recommend alternative cost containment strategy opportunities for both the utilization of the domestic network and national savings opportunities
- Work with the VP and broker for requesting quotes, evaluating options, negotiating rates and benefit features, preparing for renewal or new plan options with an executive summary
- Preparation of benefits reports and presentations
- Review large data sets for trend insights and audits and providing executive level summary of findings
- Other tasks as assigned to drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Experience and Qualification- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 or more years relevant experience and analysis
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth environment
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Manage workflow and priorities to ensure efficient, timely and accurate deliverables
- Able to build effective relationships with partner practice leaders and department stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office applications with expert level Excel skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, Workday experience preferred.
