The Capital Finance Manager owns essential elements of annual capital planning, high visibility communications, process and program improvement work and related reporting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the healthcare delivery system to deploy and track capital initiatives that best support the mission and financial goals of Stanford Health Care.**Locations**Stanford Health Care**What you will do**+ Serve as an expert resource for the Stanford Health Care annual Capital Planning Cycle+ Plan, schedule and oversee complex Capital Planning workflows including prioritization activities, analysis and communications+ Participate in the development, improvement and management of Capital Planning systems [Workday, Strata Capital Planning, Strata Equipment Replacement] and supporting tools [SHC Connect, Smartsheet, Excel]+ Define, track and report relevant department KPIs+ Serve as a super-user and the primary business contact supporting Capital Planning systems and tools+ Develop and generate timely and accurate capital project and capital governance reports, both independently and in collaboration with Planning Design & Construction, Technology & Digital Services and Facilities Project Management Office+ Identify, develop and deploy processes and guidelines to improve effectiveness and efficiency of capital budgeting programs+ Assist in synchronizing capital planning programs across Stanford Medicine Enterprise, including coordination with counterparts at SHC Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners and Stanford Blood Center+ Partner with the Controller's Office, Financial Planning & Analysis, Decision Support, Treasury and other Finance teams to share capital timelines and key data+ Serve as the primary backup for capital tracking and capital requisitioning approval activities+ Foster and maintain positive and effective relationships with capital stakeholders including executives, clinical department leaders, service line operations, and other finance functions+ Prioritize and successfully manage multiple and competing priorities+ Lead root cause analyses and provide recommendations for issue resolution+ Participate in program governance activities+ Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and standards+ Perform other related duties as assigned**Education Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university**Experience Qualifications**+ Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**+ Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple form to cross-functional departments or teams+ Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues+ Ability to provide leadership and influence others+ Ability to strategize, plan and implement change+ Demonstrated competency in financial reporting and decision support analysis+ Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven environment, constantly striving for and achieving excellence+ Conversant in healthcare financial & operational systems (e.g., Lawson/Workday, Axiom/Strata/EPSi, EPIC, etc.)+ Excellent project management skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy+ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization and with a variety of internal and external customers, varying in seniority and work experiences+ Advanced Excel skills, ability to quickly learn and master a variety of quantitative tools for data tracking, reporting, and analysis+ Intermediate to Advanced presentation skills, including creating PowerPoint presentations**These principles apply to ALL employees:****SHC Commitment to Providing an Exceptional Patient & Family Experience**_Stanford Health Care sets a high standard for delivering value and an exceptional experience for our patients and families.
