Job Description Manages, plans, organizes, and evaluates the daily operation, staff, and quality control of multiple laboratory disciplines and/or shifts. Provides operational leadership and by interacting with clients, presenting organizational capabilities, defining scope of work and delivering results through execution and technical guidance. Job Responsibility * Provides leadership to Clinical Laboratory Operations' team members andsupervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving departmentobjectives.* Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with thehealth system.* Manages day-to-day activities and staff; hires, trains, disciplines, and supervisesstaff.* Evaluates performance and ensures appraisals are completed on a timely basis;sets daily priorities and delegating work assignments; ensures scheduled staffhours and vacation provide adequate coverage; ensures maintenance of employeeand operational records.* Manages the development and validation of analytical methodologies for a widerange of pharmaceutical dosage forms.* Ensures results by solving problems of a diverse scope; drives initiatives outside ofstandard work function; leads investigations.* Collaborates and effectively communicates with clients and internal groups.* Collaborates with business development and contracts to assist in project definitionand costing.* Ensures timely completion and compliance and all other relevant company trainingrequirements.* Motivates a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of thebusiness through effective selection, training and development, coaching andmentoring and performance management.* Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification *Bachelor's Degree required.*Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.*6-8 years of technical experience, required and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience, preferred OR Master's Degree with 2-4 years of technical experience. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
