The role youll contribute:

This position is responsible for planning, design and construction program oversight, coordinating all major/minor construction projects, remodeling, and equipment installation programs. This includes working on regulatory, operational, financial, personnel, service and quality issues. Carries direct responsibility for establishing budgets and managing projects to meet budget. Inspects all projects regularly and ensures all construction is completed according to codes, contracts and verbal instructions. This position oversees the people responsible for fire systems, equipment and training, locksmith, carpenter, painters, engineers, general contractors, all sub-contractors and interfaces with all department directors, and facility team leads.

The value youll bring to the team:

  • Responsible for all construction projects, beginning with the pre-construction planning and coordination, and inspecting all phases through completion.
  • Manage construction projects with over 40 million budgets, working with 4-40 projects simultaneously.
  • Effective stewardship of financial resources, budgeting, monitoring financial performance, staffing efficiently and effectively, strategic business planning, etc.
  • Provides values based leadership, modeling, decision making, strategic planning and goal setting, motivation of staff performance, interpersonal relationships, communication.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

  • Bachelors of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience considered.
  • Five to seven years experience in healthcare design and construction and three to five years of project management experience. Experience in estimating or project management from the contracts side is desirable or 10 years Facilities Management with management of projects over 5M.
  • Current Colorado Drivers License
