As the Contracts Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) within Thermo Fisher Scientific.Responsibilities:* Review, negotiate, and administer commercial and government-related contracts on behalf of assigned CAD business units in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.* Support the development and submission of RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.* Collaborate with internal departments to review and assemble final contract packages for customers, suppliers, and projects.* Assess contractual risk and provide contract guidance to cross-functional team members on legal, financial, regulatory, and other business concerns.* Administer commercial, federal and state-level contract schedules, including without limitation, price updates, audits, reports, and payments.* Drive process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiencies and standardization such as establishing templates, standardizing playbooks, process updates, etc.* Act as a liaison between the business units and customer or government contracting officer(s), as applicable.* Maintain accurate records within the contracts team's central repository and contract support center.* Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.Requirements:* A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.* Minimum 5+ years of government or commercial contracts experience, including contract negotiations, contract closeout, and pre and post RFP activities.* Working knowledge of federal and state contracting processes.* Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships, internally and externally at all levels of leadership, external customers and government officials, as applicable.* Strong analytical and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage constantly evolving priorities.* Highly attentive individual with a customer-centric approach, sound judgment, work ethic, and professional integrity and a keen eye for detail.* Advanced MS Office or Office 365 skills.
