In this role, you'll be an essential part of creating thoughtfully designed toys that encourage children to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, the possible in the impossible. ROLE OVERVIEWAs Manager Credit & Collections, you will be responsible for enforcing the credit policy and overseeing the specialty customer collections and deduction operations. You should be able to analyze and interpret financial statements, negotiate tactfully, monitor team performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching. This role reports to the Director, Accounting.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and administer the Collections department's policies and procedures
  • Take active role in reducing DSO and past due collections balances
  • Work cross functionally to resolve collections issues and improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor team performance and provide reporting on team's key performance indicators
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of credit worthiness based on a credit investigation and financial analysis for new and existing customers
  • Lead order-to-cash technology enhancement projects
  • Lead AR subledger period close processes and provide insights
  • Develop and maintain reporting for senior leadership to communicate key performance indicators
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field required
  • Minimum four years of previous experience in collections or in a related field
  • Prior experience at a public company is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of complex ERP Systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
  • ERP implementation experience preferred
  • Accounting experience/knowledge is a plus
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience leading a successful team required
  • Ability to constructively engage with sales teams to mitigate credit risk while also prioritizing growth
  • Self-motivated with desire for continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
